The Black Music Research Unit, in collaboration with the British Library, is excited to be hosting their annual Black-British Music Symposium, all-day at the British Library on the 12th of July. The day will see the BMRU host academics, industry partners and practitioners from across the UK and US, to discuss all aspects of Black-British music: with panels such as Methodologies and Approaches, Black-British Musical Geographies, and a Publishing Roundtable. Attendees are invited to contribute to panel discussions, explore the acclaimed exhibition, Beyond the Bassline, and join curators Mykaell Riley and Aleema Gray for a carnival warm-up afterparty in the evening.
