
David Bate
David Bate is Professor of Photography and an artist and writer, working primarily with photographic images. His specific interests include avant-garde photography, art history, postcolonial studies, digital culture, philosophy and psychoanalysis. His photographic practice is an investigation into forms of otherness in everyday life. He has a long career of investigating the photographic image in practice, history and theory through exhibitions and publishing.
