Yuxing Chen 陈雨星 (b. 1998, China) is a London-based artist and PhD researcher at CREAM, University of Westminster, working primarily with photography. Chen holds an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the University of the Arts London. Her practice examines how Chinoiserie and imagined versions of “Chineseness” are produced, circulated, and transformed through visual culture. Working with photography, archives, and architectural sites, she explores the shifting boundaries between cultural memory, representation, and invention.

Chen received the IPE Award from the Royal Photographic Society and the Kunpeng Award at Pingyao International Photography Festival. Her work has been exhibited internationally at Getxophoto, KG+, Singapore International Photography Festival, Copenhagen Photo Festival, Athens Photo Festival, and PhMuseum Days, and featured in the British Journal of Photography, RPS Journal, IMA, and other publications.
