Dr. Paula Gortázar will be presenting her paper, Look me in the Eye!: Towards Full Ownership of Every AI-generated Photograph, at the conference Photography and AI organised by the Royal Photographic Society in Bristol between the 9th and 10th of October 2023.
Paula’s study identifies alternative models for the production of AI-generated images to those currently used by mainstream AI platforms. Based on primitive computational art processes, these systems allow designers to gain greater control over the final visual result, while avoiding potential issues with intellectual property theft and breach of privacy.
The conference ‘Photography and AI’, presents a series of eighteen international speakers – all specialists, academics or creatives – and four keynote presentations that will discuss the impact and opportunities of AI for photography, as well technical, legal and philosophical issues.
