LOCATION | V&A Museum

DATE | 10 January 2012

THE MUSEUM, THE ARTIST AND INTERVENTION

Keynote speakers Alun Graves (Curator of Ceramics V&A), Professor Jorunn Veiteberg (Professor of Curatorial Studies and Craft Curator) and James Putnam (Freelance Curator) were invited to address the subject of collections, how museums can stimulate art practice and how art practice can inform museum practice.

This lively day provided 30 invited specialists from the field with a useful platform from which to explore the ways in which ceramic practice can activate critical debate and to raise questions around this area of research.

The presentations are published in expanded form in the Essays section of the website.
